Fresh oysters, ice, mignonette, lemons, condiments, station setup, and live shucking. Your guests get oysters opened in front of them; you get to enjoy your event.

Oysters sourced through our partner Pacific Seafood.

Backyard celebrations, corporate receptions, weddings, and venue pop-ups all start with a conversation about your plans. If a few guests would like a shucking introduction, we can discuss that too.

Shuck Off™ began behind the bar at The Rind, where Demetri Gregorakis worked alongside owner Sara Arbabian for five and a half years. Weekly oyster nights grew into an annual shucking competition—and the same craft and hospitality shape our private events today.

A few things to know

What do you bring?
Our service is a full oyster bar: oysters, ice, condiments, station setup, and live shucking. We supply the oyster station; we do not offer shucking-only service.
Where do you travel?
Our usual service area is about a one-hour drive from downtown Sacramento. Farther events are welcome, with a travel fee discussed and agreed as part of your quote.
Can our guests learn to shuck?
If a few attendees or a small party would like an introduction, tell us in your inquiry. We can discuss what fits your event; instruction is optional and not automatically included.
How do pop-ups work?
We can discuss a guest-paid oyster bar or a venue package. Choose the format you have in mind, or “Unsure,” and we’ll work through it together.
What will it cost?
Every event gets a custom quote based on its details. Share your occasion, date or flexible plans, and estimated guests—or let us know you’re not sure yet.
Does an inquiry book the date?
An inquiry starts a conversation. It does not reserve a date. We’ll discuss your event and prepare a quote for you to review.
